Behind the blue door

Stalking again. Wouldn't you think that now that I have found a house to buy that I'd stop lurking on real estate sites? Never! So what is hiding behind this seemingly simple Victorian facade? A stylish contemporary family home. What else would you expect! Link here while it lasts.

What a spacious and lightfilled house behind the facade. The owners incorporated just the right amount of colour to keep it interesting but not overpowering. No small feat!

Never judge a book by its cover (in this case, a house by its door). This house is sensational. I especially liked the kids rooms as I have 3 boys and looking for some inpiration on how to refurbish their room. How about a special on kids rooms next?

I agree about the light timber, but have you ever tried to keep a dark hardward floor looking good. impossible!

I on the other hand love the look of light wood with white walls in a contemporary space. It makes it light and dreamy, as opposed to austere and stark which would be the dark wood effect. Great space.

The picture of the clouds in the dining room is amazing.
