A castle in Denmark

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away a castle awoke from its slumber, shook its traditional roots and decided it wanted to be thoroughly modern. Well almost. A fairytale castle always has to be just a little bit fairytale. I love this modern take on a traditional home. Katrine Martensen-Larsen of KML Design always finds the most wonderful places.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful space. The juxtaposition of classic and modern elements is beautifully executed and the oversized chrome globe is simply divine!

Love the white rooms!! Love your blog!!

What a place ! A totally different approach to an interior of a castle, so light and airy, unlike the usual stereo-type of them being dark and unapplealing. I love it ... especially the last pic, it's so magical.

After I buy a house in Myconos, an apartment in Paris, a villa in Lake Cuomo, I think I'll seriously consider a castle in Denmark.
Seriously, they made it feel so airy and fresh!

i have to agree, this place is amazing! i would love to see more! i have a similar simple sleek white table and was toying with the idea of an oversized gold chandelier. now i really want one.

Perfection. If they had went for grand furniture it would not have been very liveable. I love it all!

What a beautiful abode. The Danes are very stylish especially when modernizing castles. Did you see the beautiful images of Palace at Amalienborg?

I have re=posted this castle and included your lovely fairytale intro

Anyone have any idea where that silver globe is from? Or is there a term for that? I would love to get someone something just like that. It's perfect.
