Alexandra Angle

I am smothered with alot of eye candy with my trawling through the blogs and websites looking for blog research and despite being overloaded with these visual I love it when something can capture my interest and leave me utterly smitten. That was the case the other day when I happened upon this post over on The Bedlam of Beefy, where our dear friend Beefy featured the designs of the uber-talented Los Angeles designer Alexandra Angle. Her designs are at times bold with colour, always cheerful, comfortable, unassuming, youthful and whimsical. They just really do it for me.

Lovely joyful colors. I love the golden couch with the vintage painting and the bird wallpaper. Thx for that.

beautiful work! It's always lovely to visit DtI and to see your finds.

@Sasha, the hanging chair is by Patricia Urquiola. The name is Tropicalia Cocoon chair- from the Moroso collection. You can find it here http://www.unicahome.com/p48765/moroso/tropicalia-cocoon-hanging-chair-by-patricia-urquiola-for-moroso.html

Thanks!

Parker, it's a Jean Prouvé Potence lamp. (DWR.com sells it for $1720 US)

Anthropologie carries a version of the hanging chair as well. It is definitely on my wish list.

love the decor. in picture #5 (the one with the jill greenberg bear photos) there is a sofa i have been trying to track down for awhile. it is the one in brown leather. i'm a design junkie, but can't find who produces this. there is one is the restaurant area of the cosmopolitan hotel in vegas as well. even looked for the makers stamp on the bottom and was unable to track down. if anyone is familiar please, please let me know! thanks, love the blog too!

BROOK B., that sofa is FARDOS, by Ricardo Fasanello, a brazilian designer. It's very expensive; about US$ 10,000.00. I'm brazilian, and I want just one FARDOS, but... :´(
You can see it here:
