Maurice Padovani

Sometimes I take a sharp breath and release it slowly and softly through my pursed lips as I'm web surfing. Sometimes I find a place that is so perfect for me that there are no words. Sometimes my dreams come to life and jump from my computer screen. Sometimes I find an interior designer that has "it". Maurice Padovani has looked inside my mind and teased out a house that ticks all my boxes without ever having met me. There is one problem though. He built it in Marseilles, France not Australia. I'd have thought if he could read my mind without ever having met me he could get that right too. Oh well I'll just have to move to the South of France. Life is tough ;)

P.S. For those who found the OSB (oriented strand board) a little overpowering in a previous post, here it is again only "whitewashed".

the walls here are great! Love the undulating wall covering. And the whitewash over the chip board turned out really well.

this house is perfection. i love the art and the way the art relates to all of the other design elements. i share your sensibilty. a check in every box. one of the things i escpecially love is the perfection of the scale. the scale of the space and the scale of the elements. perfecton

Love the look! The modular seating and the dining space -- especially the cool chairs -- offer a truly creative design.

This place is spectacular! Anyone have an idea about the provenance of the white table lamp on the table under the stairs?

Pretty neat! Have always loved the look of wood furniture and white walls so yes, it's no wonder why this one caught my attention! I must say those stairs are sexy!

Thank God I live in Copenhagen, Denmark; i.e. only 2 hour flight from France ;)
Really beautiful interiors. The Ingo Maurer fits perfectly. Mine's hanging over the dining table.
Cheers,
