Old Villa

I've got another London location home beauty for you today, thanks to the folks at Shoot Factory. This one is called Old Villa, and old it certainly is. A little rough around the edges (is that a hole in the bathroom floor?) and a bit more traditional than we typically post but I love it for those qualities. My only beef is that gorgeous porcelain kitchen sink stuck in a corner, mounted on a rickety looking table. ODD. And how annoying if you've got a pile of dishes to do.

Dreamy House!

Ahhhh, I love these traditional spaces brought into our modern age. Agreed, though, that the rickety kitchen sink is impractical. And the kitchen cabinetry seems to block a doorway? But who cares, it's gorgeous to look at.

I'll see your sink issue, and raise you one cabinet shoved into a doorway and along side a...piano? What drunk arranged this floor plan??

quelle merveilleuse maison,
j'adore cette cuisine, elle est juste comme j'aime avec des matériaux techniques et bruts.
La taille des pièces est parfaite.
belle soirée

Awesome!!

Damn it's happened again! Me, a confirmed, committed Modernist seduced by a lovely old beauty such as this. BTW I'd take bets that there's a dishwasher either in the larder or behind one of the cabinet doors. Anybody who can afford this house in London ain't washin' dishes by hand.

A very lovely, cozy, & romantic home. Simple and ornate at the same time; beautiful

The simplicity of this makes it gorgeous.

Ahh, those windows, those floors. I want to live there.

This house is just fantastic. I love how they used chairs for bedside tables. And that frame above the mirror. Just stunning!

Love it!
Raises a question for me - how to achieve a gracious space (trad or modern), emulating what you see, but on a smaller scale, because your living room is only 1/4 the size of what you see?

I love it, it's beautiful!

Despite it's faults, it's beautiful. And looks like it's seen some living.

That stone wall in the garden with the ivy growing on it - that's reason enough to go back to London. Dunno where it is, but the facade looks Kew-ish.

And the site overall! A veritable rabbit hole to fall down for days. Which is no good because this particular white rabbit is already late!

Breathtaking. What an impeccable space and choice of furnishings.

.. you know, fireplace is more important than a sink...
Love this post, thank you! Such an inspiration.
My husband and I are renovating a very old house and we had a !!TEN!! doors and windows kitchen to deal with...similar cabinet in the doorway problem...it worked in the end...
