I love this idea and have been "leaning against the wall" for years...I bought some inexpensive molding that has a ridge on it, cut them to length and spray painted them flat black. Then I had some 90 degree angle braces and sprayed them black as well and installed...wallah...so much better than trying to find just the right arrangement...
You can't even tell if they're hanging or sitting, love this! I just did a round up on my blog of different framed settings/places and I wish I included this!!

I love the way this looks. Such a simple way of "hanging" art!
Even if the picture frames are overlapping, it still does look great. The black and white hanging art creates drama and serenity in any room.
