Belle/Coco Republic Interior Designer of the Year 2012

The Belle/Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2012 are fast approaching (Wednesday 16th May at Coco Republic) and we have a sneak peek at a selection of the finalists. Now in their second year, hundreds of entrants were judged by panel of industry leaders - including Editor in Chief Neale Whitaker and interior designers Kelly Hoppen - on the basis of originality, quality of execution and response to the brief. There was a noticeable trend towards eclecticism this year which Neale says is refreshing and inspiring, giving interiors greater depth, personality and soul. We'll be back next week with the winner but for now enjoy just a taste of the incredible interiors. Just click on the images to be taken to each designer's site.

I love all of these but I think the ones by David Hicks are my favorite. White walls get a bad rap, but David doesn't shy away from them. I think they allow all of the wonderful details in his rooms to pop.

David Hicks has always been a favorite of mine. That glass display shelf by Doherty Lynch is beautiful!
