Bah humbug!

Thought I'd show you the extent of my Christmas decorations for this year. Brass candlesticks, white candles, box of matches. Done! I think I'm over the whole Christmas thing already. I will, however, never be over the whole fire thing ;)

Hmm, maybe I'll do the same with my wood candle stick collection upon my return home (I'm in New Zealand till a week before Christmas). I usually have to ease into the Christmas decorating spirit slowly---the season always sneaks up on me before I feel it! One year, I created a "menorah" arrangement of the candlestick collection on the dining table for my Jewish housemate. She loved it, for it was her first holiday away from home. xox Sparky

Thanks everyone. I've collected the candle sticks over the years, picking them up in thrift stores for a couple of dollars each. It was only when I realised how many I had that the idea of a massed table centrepiece dawned on me. That and finding a big box of over 100 candles in another thrift store for $10 the other day.

Can't believe you are so close yet so far away Sparky.

I might just add a few fir branches Jane if I can sneak down to my neighbour's house a chop some low hanging branches off late at night ;)

Tammy the chairs are vintage 40s plywood office chairs I bought on eBay in a really bad state and restored. I have four.

Sometimes simplicity is the best isn't it Kylie?

Dean it's a wooden bead chandelier I bought from Vixen & Velvet. You can see more of it here.

Sleep with one eye open. I'm coming for that chandelier.

Also, join me and be Jewish. Any holiday angst would have been wrapped up last night. ;)

Belated Thanksgivukkah greetings Raina darling! If you're coming to steal the chandie watch out for the golem under the table :)
