It's raining here. Raining, raining, raining. In biblical quantities. What better time to plonk myself in front of the computer and real estate stalk? I'm in Bondi, Sydney. A contemporary home by architect Uri Turgeman and interior designer Shellee Gordoun. A series of rooms in open plan stretching either side of a cental garden atrium and leading out to the garden. Casual elegance with interest brought in through finishes and texture. Light, bright, white and ... blue. My imagination is running riot. How would this space look with red or green or black or yellow? A good example of how a neutral base lends itself to painterly strokes of colour to change things up. Link here while it lasts.

LOVE this long and skinny house and its relationship to the outdoors. It is very well done. My only AH HA moment came when I viewed the long narrow window in front of the sink in the kitchen. That is a perfect opportunity for a "Zen" view. Instead, it just looks out over an ugly fence. What were they thinking? They must plant something beautiful there, immediately!
Love it! Want to know if the elephant rug in the bedroom is a floor cloth or an actual rug? And, where to get one!!!!!

I really like the breakfast bar stools. The colour and style. It isn't raining here but it is soo cold!

Olwyn, all I know is that the elephant rug? is a vintage postage stamp from 1949, depicting an elephant fresco painting from the Ajanta caves in India.
Love the house - light and bright and livable. Also, I am now OBSESSED with the elephant rug.
If anyone knows where to find one....sigh....
