Colour splash

A stylish combination of traditional features and colourful contemporary design, this South Yarra renovation by architectural firm Techne packs a punch with personality, colour and a killer art collection. It's a pared back modern living space that revels in the grand proportions of the old house.  Of course the house looks even more spectacular thanks to the amazing photography by Graeme Boyle.

Wow - my dream home! Love the huge open spaces and furnishings. Beautiful use of colour keeps it interesting and contrasts perfectly with those floors. Love the kids rooms as well....captured perfectly by the photographer who gives it the royal justice it deserves..

Sometimes I find it difficult to pull off an achromatic scheme will pops of bright colors. I feel like it can easily look disconnected and juvenile. However, this house captured the technique perfectly! I wouldn't change a thing.
