The beauty of windows

I am envious of people who live in homes with soaring cielings with windows that seem endless. My home may have beautiful stained and leaded glass windows but they aren't very big so I get patches of direct light in certain rooms for about a half hour each day. It is definitively a love/hate relationship. Instead I live vicariously through other people's homes, like these with windows and doors to die for by McAlpine

Modern art

As seen in my last post on designer Jenn Feldman's style, this talented lady and her team seem to have a thing for bold, modern art in modern settings. This new Palm Springs project is yet another example of this. It is bold and makes a real statement. I must point out that I am totally crushing on that banquette dining area.

Morocco on a Sydney rooftop

The view may be of the Sydney skyline but this rooftop garden is all about a holiday passion. The owners had fallen in love with the unique architecture and energy of Marrakech on their travels and asked landscape architects Secret Gardens to create a little piece of their Morocco dream for them. A private retreat for family and friends filled with memories of a faraway land.
