Not so shabby

English shabby boho that is. I found these photos on the site of talented British photographer Tom Scott and I was intrigued. English boho versus Scandi boho. White walls, white floors, mirrors and aged wood, distressed leather and the obligatory, seemingly careless drape of a dress. What is the difference between shabby and Scandi boho? Less midcentury and more Laura Ashley? Cute as a button shots of this Kent house though by Scott. Can you call a photo adorable? As in "pinch its cheek" adorable?

How about a few photos from another San Francisco based architecture firm - this time it's Andre Rothblatt. A monstrous coffee machine with it's own nook, a funky stove and hood fan, one of the strangest tubs I've ever seen...

Schwartz and Architecture

SaA - Schwartz and Architecture is based in San Francisco and I love them. Their work is modern but not too modern, they use lots of wood which keeps their designs feeling not too cold, they use lots of large windows to ensure the homeowners thoroughly enjoy their views. What's not to love about this?!

Is this work?

A fun and colourful office design by Argentinian architect Agustina Bottinelli of AB I Arquitectos Asociados. Slashes of red, piano key stairs, old school video games, funky pop furniture, chickens and a toilet that will definitely be well read. (Don't ask me how it was done. Perhaps Agustina can let us know.) Definitely for a creative industry. I wonder if they actually get any work done?

Stacey Brandford all over again

Nothing is better than returning to a favourite photographer's website after a prolonged absence and finding out that things are just the same. The work is still fabulous, the talent still shines through. The images are still crisp and clear. The rooms are gorgeous and the pictures are almost like portals to another place. Seems like I could still walk straight into these shots. After all this time things are still the way I remember them except ... there are so many more wonderful new images. Fresh and fab! One of our all time favourite Canadian photographers Stacey Brandford.
