I am in desperate need of a vacation - well, a break from the chaos that is my life these days anyway. I'd love to spend a few weeks shacked up in this absolutely stunning vacation home in Trump Hollywood, in Florida. Stalking in New Zealand

It's Spring in New Zealand (lucky b*stards) and Sammy, a Kiwi and regular reader of this here blog kindly sent along some more links to homes there as the market is "exploding with gorgeous summery homes" as she put it. *still hatin'* One of the homes she linked to, located in Auckland, caught my attention. It's got some odd decor choices here and there but overall I think the owners did a great job. I love the kitchen and the exterior is adorable (we don't really have cute houses here in Ottawa). Yesterday I got my hands on a beautiful book. Well I had to fight two friends who wouldn't give it back. The New Artisans by Olivier Dupon and pulished by Thames & Hudson is a must have book. A beautiful, simple celebration of the handmade and the one of a kind it takes an intimate look at 75 artisans around the globe who share the joy of creating beauty with their hands. Some you will know from blogs, others will be new to you but they are all leading members of the growing community who cherish handmade made exceptionally well. Over 850 images, 75 profiles, 320 pages, listings by category and all of it gorgeous and covetable. A lovely Christmas gift idea. The book is available online and in bookstores. Love this colour scheme for a kitchen.
