Blue and pink accents - Alykhan Velji Designs

This is such a pretty home by Calgary interior designer and hot on the Canadian interiors media scene Alykhan Velji. Timeless and classic with accents in blue and pink, these spaces are bright and functional and could easily be changed up winter/summer or if you simply want a new colour accent.

Deliciously neutral

This deliciously neutral California home, part historic farmhouse, part airy contemporary interior is like the finest vanilla ice cream. Not bland and boring but rich and well rounded, very tasty and oh so sweet. Best of all like all great ice cream it leaves you craving more and more. Brentwood Farmhouse by Ken Linsteadt Architects.

A moody living and dining room by Brian Paquette

Seattle-based interior designer Brian Paquette continues to make me swoon over his work - including this magazine-worthy living and dining room he designed in West Seattle. Such beautiful tones of deep green, ochre, black and grey. Moody and dramatic without being too dark.

(See more of Brian's projects here)

It's bed week at #luxuryinteriorsonabudget I hear, so another one of my bedroom for fab team of @marks_and_rowe_interiors and @patirobins - whilst waiting for new pendant lamp and bedding for this room, both in summer delay. Headboard is thrifted only a few weeks ago for £30, and so is the nightstand (£15). I splurge on quality paint and wallpaper mainly, but love vintage furniture, so usually get far on a small budget. Sometimes I splurge on lamps too. πŸ™ŠThis is also my #widn for @ninegreenbottles I was too busy watching Star Wars Rogue One with my boys to tidy much. But this room is sacred. 😁What's @villabetulablog up to? Want to show off your bedroom for this comp? And @mykindofstyling maybe? Those are some striking rooms! ❀️ #howivintage #scandinavianhome #flowersstylehome #instahome #ourluxuryhome #interior2you #howiboho #interior4all #bohohome #realhomes #middleweekinspiration #howihue #vintagefurniture #interior123 #myhomevibe #howyouhome #rockettstgeorge #currentdesignsituation #finditstyleit #ukensprofil #flowersandotherstories #darksideshow #aastyle #decoração #howyouthrift #dogsindecor #vogueliving #myhomevibe #styleithappy

Hope whatever you are doing this evening you are having fun, lovely people! πŸ₯‚πŸ˜˜ PS: finally picked up a frame on my jaunt to @ikeauk today for this amazing banana print by Abi Baikie from @curioegg - LOVE πŸ’› #livingroom #sittingroom #livingspace #interiorstyling #sofa #gallery #gallerywall #art #bohodecor #myhomevibe #interior4all #apartmenttherapy #atmine #elledecor #interiores #interiorinspo #plantsmakepeoplehappy #dogsofinstagram #midcenturymodern #urbanjunglebloggers #colourmyhome #styleithappy #beautifulhomes #mybeautifulmess #todayslovely #currentdesignsituation #bohoismyjam #plantgang #interior_design #howivintage

Stalking an "almost" church conversion

Kim and I love a church conversion. We have shared so many over the years. This "conversion" in Melbourne's inner-city suburb of Collingwood is just a little bit different. It's a church juxtaposition, a "house/church symbiosis", a church and courtyard house Siamese twin configuration, a conversion without converting. The real estate listing calls it "Gothic Revival meets Neo-modernist design". Whatever you call it it's bloody brilliant. It's by Kister Architects and is the architects own home. Watch the video for some insight into the design and also for some great overhead shots that really make the geometry come alive. The price, like the conversion, is OTT (of course) but what else would you expect? Link here while it lasts.
