If you'd like to send me photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it's dark or fuzzy then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

This is Gromit the dog sleeping on a friday morning. As his master has left for work, the place in bed obviously needs to be filled.

Attached is a photo of my coonhound Scarlett relaxing in her favorite spot, the Room and Board loveseat in my office. Look at her big sad eyes; I just can't bring myself to ask her to find another (more practical, not-white) perch. (Notice the branding on her ear. She used to be a hunting dog until she either got lost or was abandoned. We rescued her 6 months ago from a high kill shelter in New Mexico)

this is obi -- he's sitting guard as he does each day on his favorite vintage chair -- peering out the window, and always with proper use of the armrest...

attached is a photo of my two english bulldogs - tater tot is the brindle puppy (17months) and little bit is the sleeping 13yr old. i think the cherry red Naugahyde sofa & custom made oil cloth pillows make for a bright and cheery backdrop to my baby boys. normally i won't submit a photo that had an obvious cord, but they looked so sweet while i was drilling a shelf into the wall that i felt compelled to send. also it is one of the few photos that the dogs are the entire frame.
