I am not done with the virtual vacations, because I hate winter with every ounce of my being. So now I am taking you to Los Corales de Buelna, a municipality in Cantabria, Spain. This is the holiday retreat for artist Nikolas Piper and it is the best of everything. Rustic architecture with stone and exposed beams, mostly mid-century decor, and a matching dog. It all works so well together I could spend the entire winter here. EASILY. Via Elle Decor España, photos by Manolo Yllera.
Though I am still not over the gloriousness of the loft in my previous post, here is another project by Jenny Wolf that proves this designer can whip up just about anything and make it fresh and hip. Even when you're using granny's chair (above). This apartment is fairly traditional and classic, yet she manages to keep it cool. Very impressive.
On the fence? No I'm definitely not on the fence when it comes to this St Kilda West home by architects Kennedy Nolan. Love the minimal palette of black and white warmed by rich caramels and honey mustards. No I'm on the couch ... in my daydreams. This is my last day off until Christmas and if I had my way you would never get me off that couch. Not ever. Not for Christmas parties and dinners and lunches and drinks and the occasional 5 day conference. Let the countdown to Christmas begin.
