Another look at Kemble Interiors

It has been a very long time since we last featured the bold spaces of Kemble Interiors. Mostly Palm Beach glam packed with bright colours and patterns which is not a style I'm generally drawn to, the Kemble ladies can knock out other styles as well. Flavours that are more neutral as well as Hollywood Regency designs I am quite taken with and these rooms are among my favourites. I totally love the dining room above, despite its traditional vibe. Must be the black painted wainscoting with graphic floral wallpaper above ;)

Because

Because I love good design. Because it's about people and their homes, their stories and their dreams, when they decide to stay and extend to continue their relationship with a building. Martha Mulholland

I love these spaces created by interior+event+set designer/visual merchandiser/fashion+prop stylist Martha Mulholland. Wonderfully eclectic with just enough touches of bright colours and patterns to capture your attention but not overwhelm. Her passion for vintage is evident, and why I am especially smitten. Rollin', rollin', rollin'

Love the island bench on wheels in this kitchen. Move it here, there and, well, not quite everywhere. Flower Loft by Los Angeles based SIMO Design.

A lakeside weekend home

This lakeside weekend home in North Carolina is an absolute DREAM! (And OMG it's a WEEKEND home?!?!) As I always say, a 'cottage' is where you can get away with anything. Here, the owners nixed the idea of a dining room in favour of a deep upholstered niche and shuffleboard table, and instead of a traditional boat dock opted for a 'party dock' - a floating lounge complete with wet bar, TV, swimmer's platform and loungey furnishings. There's even a bedroom converted into a gym with climbing wall. All made absolutely beautiful thanks to interior designer Heather Garrett. Perfectly rustic yet perfectly sophisticated and the perfect summer hangout. (In case you missed Heather's loft, it's here)
