Est Issue 10

photography by Hotze Eisma for Est

The latest issue of Est is live today and what a treat awaits. Creative Director Lynda Evans emailed with a sneak peek. "From a boutique owner's home on Sydney's north shore with a well honed sophisticated style and a steadfast passion for a muted palette, to a young family's country retreat in the hills of Victoria's spa country filled with vintage finds and eclectic pieces and an artists residence swathed in textural artworks and surrounded by the fields of Holland." There is even a  chance to win Hamman Towels from Bedouin Societe! My favourite e-magazine just keeps getting better.

I wish

I wish there was more time in a day. I wish I lived in a warmer climate so I could experience summer-like weather for more than 3 months a year. Because of these wishes, I am going to be sort of random with my posts on Sundays for the next couple of months. I'll be spending time at my sister's cottage trying to get in as much fresh air, sunlight and warmth as I can (I was there yesterday - it was a blast). Today I have a quick post of a beautiful home featured in Lantliv magazine. I sure wouldn't mind spending my summer here.
On a side note, I have a million chores to get done today but I'm hoping to find time to tweak some photos I took of new items in my home so stay tuned for that later on 'kim's page'.

Summer issue of Heart Home mag

Yes folks, it appears to be new magazine issue season. One of my online favourites (ok, I seem to have alot of favourites) is Heart Home magazine from the UK and their summer issue is coming online Thursday. They sent over some big juicy photos for me to share with you all as a little preview. Enjoy!

Inside Out is out

There are the special little things in life that fill a slow rainy day (or a crazy busy day why won't it SLOW DOWN ... ooops sorry). Little things that make me happy. A good magazine is one of them. And Inside Out is a great magazine. I always get a wee bit over excited when an email from managing editor Lee Tran Lam is sitting in my box. Do we want to see a house? Yes please!

"It's from our new Jul/Aug issue and it's of a makeover of a Dutch farmhouse. The revamp included lots of upcycling – and in fact, the floor of the top storey is made of old cheeseboards! The styling is by Studio Viva Vida of The Netherlands and the photography is by Jean-Marc Wullschleger."

Yeah! There are even pictures that didn't make it into the magazine after the jump. Bonus! Aussie readers will of course be heading to the newsagents to pick up their copy out today. (That's if you don't already subscribe.) Don't fret if you aren't in Australia though because you can read along on ZinioGoogle Play and the Apple Newsstand!
