It is hard to believe this was once a school. This modern, bright and airy loft in Amsterdam is now home to a family of five. The teacher’s lounge became bedrooms and the classroom became the living space. The kitchen is fantastic! I especially love the wall of open storage over the sink cabinet section. Such a fun place to raise kids in. No worries about the floors getting scratched up (it's concrete) or one of the kids hiding somewhere and wrecking havoc (their toys are stashed in the play area under the stairs). By Standard Studio.
Manfung & Angel (whose shop OHMYHOME I featured back in November) had their first child in March so they are are selling their apartment in Rotterdam, the Netherlands for something with more space. It is white, bright and so perfectly cozy (now that they have renovated it to make it perfect!) so someone needs to scoop this place up! More details on their blog. Gorg!
This Amsterdam home blows my mind. If I walked in someone would need to hold me up because I would probably drop to the floor. Seriously though, the architecture, the bold colours, the herringbone hardwood floor, the checkerboard marble tile, those freaking windows (!!!)...then throw in some cool mid-century furniture and I totally become weak in the knees. Unlike Jo I couldn't live further from the tropics, but what better way to bring the tropics indoors than some green walls and huge plants. This home definitively evokes a tropical vibe within a modern shell. I have plant and dining table envy. Interior design by Roelfien Vos.
