Understated elegance in a New Jersey home

This Short Hills, New Jersey home is another project by talented designer Michelle Gerson that is mostly toned down in the colour palette (with one exception as you will easily spot below) but again has a bit of an art deco feel. In this home Michelle took more of an understated elegant approach. Timeless restraint

Interior designer Margaret Naeve Parker of M Naeve combines contemporary pieces with antiques found in her travels in Belgium, France and Scandinavia. Hers is a restrained approach with an emphasis on texture and a muted palette. What strikes me most is even with her love of beautiful, old pieces these rooms feel fresh and modern, timeless and sophisticated.

Everything is in a very restrained neutral palette, elegant, refined, period perfection as you would expect from a tastefully restored historic home but then ... welcome to the 21st century family livingin the new addition. The perfect merge of old and new. Link here while it lasts.
