Oh my I've died and gone to kitchen heaven. This is it. English country kitchen perfection and ... it's a showroom. We all know I'm smitten by anything that deVOL Kitchens design so it's no surprise that I have been following the fitout of their new Clerkenwell, London showroom on their Instagram account. Pink fireplace wall, handmade green wall tiles, bespoke cabinets in dreamy blue and copper pans hanging on a creamy tongue and groove wall. The little chandelier, majolica plates and vintage portrait are icing on the cake. I couldn't wait for the showroom to turn up on their website. I just had to share their IG posts.
I'm still reeling from the crowded chaos of my Christmas shopping. It's time for another getaway to calm my jangled nerves and as for those of you facing the long, bleak hours of a hump day at work I'm guessing you'd like a virtual escape too. How about the soothing pastel prettiness of London's Leman Locke Hotel by Grzywinski+Pons? I love the play of powder-puff pastels against the raw concrete and the modern minimalism. Meet you in the bar for a drink. Something pink perhaps?
This pied-à-terre by Alexandra Kidd Design starts with a classic aesthetic and ramps up the impact with bold bursts of colour. Rich pinks, reds and oranges are splashed across the living room with vivid art works and fabrics but the energy is tempered by neutral walls and floors. Watch out for the bedroom though. Yellow and fuschia reign. An apartment where small makes a big impact.
