A contrast of white plaster and raw, rust-washed concrete. Painted brick counterbalances sleek kitchen cabinetry. A simple, bright, modernist approach was taken by architecture firm Crosby Studios with this 590 sq ft Soviet era apartment. The addition of plants throughout make this an A+ home in my book. Things have been soooo busy for me lately so a little calmness is welcome in every aspect of my life, including here on the blog. This Japanese inspired, semi-minimalist apartment I found on The Village is filled with nothing but neutrals and I love it for that. The shelving in the living and dining spaces is pretty fantastic too.
This 70m2 apartment on the 30th floor of a highrise in Moscow may be a bit on the small side but it sure has alot of style. To keep the space looking as large as possible, designer Eugene Zhdanov used some smart techniques such as mirroring one wall in the living room to reflect the view outside, using the same colour palette throughout the apartment and keeping the curtains the same shade as the walls. Even the resident cat has a designated space - that bed is adorable! Via The Village.
My position stays the same week after week. If you have to drag your sorry arse into work on a Saturday it better be somewhere stylish. After drooling over the retro offices of Moscow-based interior design studio A3 I'm planning on learning Russian.
