A compact + modern apartment in Moscow

A contrast of white plaster and raw, rust-washed concrete. Painted brick counterbalances sleek kitchen cabinetry. A simple, bright, modernist approach was taken by architecture firm Crosby Studios with this 590 sq ft Soviet era apartment. The addition of plants throughout make this an A+ home in my book. Calming neutrals

Things have been soooo busy for me lately so a little calmness is welcome in every aspect of my life, including here on the blog. This Japanese inspired, semi-minimalist apartment I found on The Village is filled with nothing but neutrals and I love it for that. The shelving in the living and dining spaces is pretty fantastic too.

Packing a punch in a small apartment

This 70m2 apartment on the 30th floor of a highrise in Moscow may be a bit on the small side but it sure has alot of style. Even the resident cat has a designated space - that bed is adorable! Via The Village

Working on a Saturday

My position stays the same week after week. If you have to drag your sorry arse into work on a Saturday it better be somewhere stylish. After drooling over the retro offices of Moscow-based interior design studio A3 I'm planning on learning Russian.

An eclectic apartment in Moscow

I spotted this fun apartment in Moscow featured on The Village and had to share. It is wonderfully eclectic and is filled with some of my favourite things - patterned encaustic tile, fun wallpapers, copper lights, and rustic furnishings. The modern mixed with global vibe makes this a funky little getaway in the city. (Photos: Michael Stepanov)
