Ampurdán House

No matter how my taste in interior decor changes over the years, one style has never wavered - a very rustic, centuries-old home filled with vintage and modern furnishings. The Ampurdán House whose interior is designed by Serge Castella is absolutely stunning. Pairing Panton chairs (one of my all-time favourites) with a big old reclaimed wood table surrounded by ancient architecture and an oversized piece of modern art for some extra zing is just about the best thing ever. A diamond in the rough. (Previous feature of his work here)

A second look

I get excited when I come across photos of a home we have featured, but a different rendition. It's interesting to see how homes evolve with with time. The oasis

Beautiful light spills through French doors making its way further into this apartment through internal windows and cut outs, reflecting off glass walls and slick services. White walls and pale floors lift and brighten the space while a colour palette of greys and blues and greens calms and relaxes. The re-design of this old flat in the heart of Barrio de Salamanca, Madrid has created a cool retreat from the harsh Spanish sun. Minimalist style for maximum impact. Ayala House by ÁBATON.

Ibiza idyll

I'm lost. I can't find my way out of the portfolio of Parisian interior designer Marianne Tiegen. I have, however, managed to leave France and land in Cala d'Hort on the island of Ibiza. Hot sun, cool lifestyle and a stylish take on a hacienda. The perfect chillout pad on the party island.
