The Oakland home of designer Melanie Coddington

The Oakland home of Melanie Coddington has been a labor of love for the team at Coddington Design. The updated midcentury home features a playful use of pattern, as well as fun and daring colors against a neutral backdrop that will stand the test of time and trend. Multiple seating areas in the living room allow for easy entertaining and relaxing, and the bright, bold kitchen is the perfect place for family dinners. The home is pet and child friendly without sacrificing style. Such a beautiful home that is timeless, playful and colourful.

Packing a punch in a small apartment

This 70m2 apartment on the 30th floor of a highrise in Moscow may be a bit on the small side but it sure has alot of style. To keep the space looking as large as possible, designer Eugene Zhdanov used some smart techniques such as mirroring one wall in the living room to reflect the view outside, using the same colour palette throughout the apartment and keeping the curtains the same shade as the walls. Even the resident cat has a designated space - that bed is adorable! Via The Village

Vardo by Farrow & Ball

So I went looking for some Vardo inspiration and here is what I found....

A home with history

This Amsterdam home blows my mind. If I walked in someone would need to hold me up because I would probably drop to the floor. Seriously though, the architecture, the bold colours, the herringbone hardwood floor, the checkerboard marble tile, those freaking windows (!!!)...then throw in some cool mid-century furniture and I totally become weak in the knees.
