The edgy loft of a music lover

Posted on Thu, 5 Dec 2019 by KiM

This loft in Livorno, Italy is where art, music, plants and custom furniture come together to create an edgy, unique home. Also, I’m really digging how the hardwood floor was laid. Very cool! Designed by MODO architettura + design.

Spaces by Valentin Loellmann

I strive to find unique spaces to share on this blog of ours because I feel like the design world can be over-saturated with the same styles. Trends are not my thing. When I came across creator and designer Valentin Loellman, from Maastricht, The Netherlands, I was very much intrigued by his vision. The first series of photos I’m sharing are of his studio’s loft. Dear gawd, is this what heaven looks like?!

The following photos are randomly selected from some other spaces Valentin has designed that caught my eye.

A modern loft with classical decor

What do you get when you pair a modern white loft in Seville, Spain with a designer who has a passion for 17th to 19th century decor? An unexpected clash of styles that is quite dramatic. By Amaro Sánchez de Moya.

This Atlanta loft is all kinds of awesome, from the exposed support beamed ceiling and floor to crittall-style ceiling window to the industrial mixed with glam decor. Where many styles mix to produce something eclectic and fantastic. Designed by Brian Patrick Flynn.

A dream in green

“The Beldi is a converted loft space in the heart of Shoreditch, east London, overlooking St Leonard’s Church and its surrounding treetops. The light and open plan of the space reflects its history as a shoe factory, and the patterned use of handmade Beldi tiles is used to delineate the space within. Simplicity and craft come together in this verdant volume, forming an oasis from the urban jungle below.”
