I don’t really have the words to describe how beautiful the Mallorcan farmhouse of Tatiana Baibabaeva and Tyson Strang of design team Terra Coll Home is. But I have dreamt of visiting Mallorca for many years and this is exactly what I imagine staying in. Rustic and natural and rough around the edges. Most, if not all photos by Salva López.

I would expect Sean Anderson to take a cabin, cottage, weekend retreat like this one (located in Lake Martin, Alabama) and give it cottagecore vibes but with his own dark and dramatic twist. They say it’s all about location, location, location but a cool house helps too. What I love about this gentle reworking of this waterfront cabin in Maine by Angie Hranowsky is just that … a gentle hand, a light touch. It’s rental which explains the lack of big ticket, rip it out and rebuild projects but I think it’s perfect. Mind you with a view like that I’d be happy to sit on a box 😛

The historical castle has been transformed into a private estate where every room has become a living space with antique millstones, warehouses, olive oil presses, wine cellars, and more. Gracious gathering and dining spaces provide numerous options for entertainment. The open plan on the ground floor of the castle offers elegantly appointed rooms, each one overflowing into the next, and enabling large numbers of guests to circulate the property.

Collaborating closely with local artisans, the property was authentically restored, showcasing exquisite Gotland limestone countertops, bespoke oak cabinetry crafted by local artisans, and a curated selection of antique pieces sourced from the island’s renowned thrift community. The result is a unique blend of old-world charm and modern comfort, seamlessly integrated into the island’s picturesque landscape.
