Got an email the other day from Megan Morton wanting to get a direct feed from our site. Megan is a leading international stylist based in Sydney but whose portfolio covers the globe. She’s hot. As Australia’s busiest interiors and “beautiful-things” stylist, she’s quirky and inventive. Shoots include Kelly Wearstler’s Viceroy and Maison 140 hotels. In demand with leading magazine editors, corporate advertisers and celebrities she is famous for her bold use of colour, great eye for the latest merchandise and larger than life events staging. Her latest project was the wine bar for Rosemount Fashion Week here in Australia wowing all including event guest, the infamous Dita Von Teese. Megan has promised shots! In the meantime check out her portfolio on FLIPP her management’s website.
I hereby declare today Tord Boontje day. (Well, how about Mother’s Day until noon and then Tord Day from noon on). I was poking around on his website and thought that it was about time we did a Tord post. Because he rocks. It’s as simple as that. These photos of his whimsical designs from his website speak for themselves. Let’s all share a collective *sigh*.
Here are some photos I found that feature Tord lighting (plus one devoted Tord fan). There’s a store here that sells his Midsummer light and I am sooooooo going this week to get one….or two….or three….
OOPS. Monday Brocky Proxmire had sent me an email about his mom Kelley‘s black bedroom she recently designed that he had promised to send us a while back once it was completed. But because I changed my email address I just found the email this morning. So I apologize for the delay and I know other bloggers have posted about this beautiful room already but I love the black so much that I had to post it as well. She was one of the first designers we had featured on the blog and we are huge fans of her work.
It’s obvious I love these colours. Calming, serene, sophisticated, delicate and subtle. The last in this look at these ethereal hues.
Voon Wong and Benson Saw are based out of London and specialize in interior and architecture design and produce furniture, lighting and accessories. They were featured in the April issue of Elle Decoration. Their website has stunning photos of their work…these are my favourites.
