We posted these photos over on design*sponge but I just had to post them again here in large format. This dark luxe Sydney city apartment is elegant, sophisticated and masculine. When you tire of the luxury appointments you can always gaze out the full height windows at the amazing Sydney view. Another stunner from Greg Natale. Thanks for being so generous with the pictures of your work Greg.
PS Greg is sending photos of his latest white on white beach house. Can’t wait!
II BY IV Design Associates is a Toronto-based interior design firm that was created in 1990 by two amazing designers, Dan Menchions and Keith Rushbrook. They’ve designed a variety of spaces, from a café in the CN Tower, “The Beer Store”, to an office for IBM. Thankfully they also excel at residential interiors, and can easily design a room in all black, or all cream, or even a bold orange. In the end, their spaces are modern but exude warmth and a sense of grandeur.
I have nothing against white. But white is boring. Life is too short to be boring. I think every room needs a splash of colour somewhere…it doesn’t have to be bright, but something to give warmth and energy to a room. On this note, here are some examples of rooms with lots of bold colour, not exactly on the pale side.

There are some things conceived in the 60s that hold their age quite well (ahem, ahem…. I’m a case in point) but there are others that are in serious need of cosmetic surgery or is that a complete gut reno? Here are some interesting to say the least kitchens from the era. OK, OK I could live with one maybe two of these.
