Sandra Espinet

The other day designer Jeff Andrew’s agent emailed to thank us for including Jeff’s work on our blog. He mentionned some other designers he represents, including Sandra Espinet. Her portfolio is full of gorgeous Mexican-influenced spaces, making me crave a trip down south. Badly. See if you get the same craving with this sample of her designs. (Thanks Rich!)

Hey that’s my town!

I found another amazing Brisbane property for sale. A subpenthouse in a 70’s highrise apartment block in riverside inner city New Farm. Does anyone else stalk the real estate websites looking at property they can’t afford? Hey that’s my town on the banks of a lazy brown river! And that’s one hell of an apartment! Want to find this place? Just go to realestate.com.au. Click on Queensland. Type in New Farm. Select an obscene amount of money as a guideline and dream.

Scott Sanders and Casapinka

I was stopping by Casapinka to see how Pink is going with her new home when I noticed that she had draped her couch with a green throw. Something struck me as familiar. Then I realised that I had just the inspirational picture for her in my files. Scott Sanders employed a similar idea in a cute as a button Hampton’s home. Scott you may remember from Kim’s post many many months ago featuring his groovy refit of a retro bungalow. He’s not afraid of IKEA or colour. I love navy, green and white. So refreshing and I’m loving Scott’s work!

Kevin McManamon

Kevin McManamon, a designer from Michigan, began his firm in 1986 and has been designing residences, night clubs, restaurants, offices…you name it he’s done it. His style is traditional mixed with modern here and there. A red laquered steel canopy bed, art featuring cows (??), animal print pillows – all perfectly pulled together to make beautiful spaces.
