Vanessa Hadaway is an interior stylist from Sydney, Australia. Following a modern, minimalist approach, her spaces are simple with an occasional splash of colour, bold art and streamlines furnishings.

Amanda Nisbet is a Manhatten-based interior designer who has been designing interiors since 1998 in Canada, the United States and Europe. Her style is fresh and fun, with hints of glamour and gorgeous colour palettes.

Joseph De Leo started as an art director before concentrating on his amazing talent for photography. His work is masterful. The colours and the composition are almost painterly. You are drawn into the rooms. The colours jump off the screen (or the page) and as far as his food portfolio goes you could lick the screen it is so tempting. Check out the vignettes in his portfolio for the most inspiring colour palettes. YUM!

I spent the weekend shoveling snow and painting. OH. JOY. Thought I would give you a peak into my new teal dressing room. The colour comes across alot brighter in photos (because sun was shining in the room and glaring off the mountains of snow). It turned out perfect, and I am really happy with the results. Now I can’t wait to decorate the room – I have some black and white Jo art and Jocelyn’s portrait (photo #2) that will be perfect against the teal.

Elena wrote the other day with a dilemma. A fun dilemma I’d say. “I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now and I’m officially hooked.You guys seem to have tons of inspirational room pictures so I was hoping you could help me out – see, my boyfriend and I just bought a gorgeous, plush white couch but I’m not sure how to decorate around it. We have white walls and the rest of our furniture is mostly brown. I was thinking jewel-toned accessories would go nicely and bring in some color, but I’m still not sure. Would it be possible for you guys to post some pictures of rooms with jewel tones and/or white sofas? I need some inspiration!” I readily agreed that jewel-tones would work, and went on the hunt for photos with white (or off-white) couches so Elena could see the endless options she has. Hope this inspires and be sure to send us photos when you’ve dolled up your couch!
