Stephen Shadley

Posted on Tue, 18 Mar 2008 by KiM

Stephen Shadley Designs, Inc. is an interior design and architecture firm based in Manhatten that specializes in residential projects. This firm’s work has been featured in dozens of issues of Architectural Digest and Stephen Shadley has been on their Top 100 list since its inception in 1990. Leaning more towards a traditional style, with some modern and cultural influences mixed in, these spaces are warm, cozy and inviting. (The industrial kitchen photo made my heart skip a beat).

Kim featured stylist Jo Barnes’ work last year and Jo promised to keep us in the loop with her work. Exciting times for this talented stylist. She has a new website and new management. So now there are even more gorgeous photos to drool over. You have a fantastic job Jo (she’s style editor of The Sunday Time’s insideout magazine after heading up the style team at Britain’s top modern homes magazine Livingetc). No wonder with your stellar talent!

Thom Driver

I’m intrigued by vignettes around the house and I’m overly fond of natural and found objects lately. I guess that’s why I’m drawn to these beautiful images styled by Thom Driver. So delicate, so faded, so ethereal yet so natural. Autumn is on the way in the southern hemisphere and these are just the right images to get me in the mood. Love his work!

Drew Barrymore rocks

Posted on Mon, 17 Mar 2008 by KiM

Several bloggers have already posted about Drew Barrymore being in the latest issue of Domino but I had to post about it as well because a) she ROCKS, and b) someone from Domino asked us to. The story is about the office of her L.A.-based production company, Flower Films, and how she enlisted the fabulous Ruthie Sommers to decorate it. I LOVE IT – lots of fun colours and lots of vintage finds. Right up my alley. I’m SO buying this issue.
