We’ve been cooling off with pools and terraces for the last couple of weeks. Now it’s time for a little heat. These retro fireplace beauties are scanned from Heating, House & Garden Guide to Comfort and Economy, Collins London in association with Conde Nast, 1975. Pass me my slippers and cup of cocoa.

I loved them all… specially the first one….

I really love the centralized fireplaces the most, beautiful from angles. I wonder if they make these in electric style that can be covered in glass.
Currently working a an assisted living facility project in school where the hearth area is extremely important. So an electric style, closed fireplace would be necessary for safety purposes.

This winter is going to be a sad one – I was lucky to have had a fireplace in the last house. LOVED IT. Planted myself in front of it many a night with some cats, my laptop and a cup of cocoa….or was it a glass of wine? LOL
