B Five Studio

I am smitten with the portfolio of New York and Philadelphia based architecture and interior design studio B Five. Seriously smitten. I love the unpretentious spaces they create and there is something yummy in each of the photos. Glossy white painted floors, bright artwork, fun light fixtures, expansive windows, tiled fireplaces…and OMG that blue floor!!

Interior and exterior are equally important for Toronto design firm Taylor Hannah Architect. Dee Dee Taylor Hannah and her talented team craft everything from the perfect jewel box bathroom to jets and yachts. Their work is timeless, luxurious and oh so elegant. But there’s more. Dee Dee is also the co-owner of a successful construction and project management company…. conception to completion.

Jamie Drake does it again

It’s been quite a while since we’ve posted about Jamie Drake’s firm. When I came across this gorgeous apartment filled with their signature bold colour palette, I was in awe, again. GORG!!! With these colours, you can’t help but smile.

“The designs for our Manhattan House apartment aspire to replicate the cool, unapproachable beauty of style icon Grace Kelly. Pale icy green frosts the foyer, living and dining rooms with a piquant Kelly green accent panel in the foyer. Refined, couture details such as the ruched trim on the shapely sofa reflect the impeccable manner in which she was always dressed.”

Lawson Robb

Extraordinary places for extraordinary people. That’s what Lawson Robb state on their website. This London based architecture and interior design firm create rooms that stand out from the crowd. Clean lines and modern finishes with attention to detail are obvious but it’s the luxury of space that speaks to me here. Private and public, positive and negative, the joy of having space.

Hot hot hot

We’ve been cooling off with pools and terraces for the last couple of weeks. Now it’s time for a little heat. These retro fireplace beauties are scanned from Heating, House & Garden Guide to Comfort and Economy, Collins London in association with Conde Nast, 1975. Pass me my slippers and cup of cocoa.
