…before I did yet another post on the loveliness that is Sköna hem. I figured since I am having a floor paint dilemma, what better place to go looking for inspiration than the country that seems obsessed with painted floors.

I lived in a mid century home in Palm Springs for a few years and the floors were cement. I hated the heat of the desert so I needed a very cool feeling home. So I painted the floors Cobalt Blue… it was wonderful… and my favorite floors to date…..

First, I have to say that I love that pink and white striped poof in the first photo, (I’ve been obsessed with poufs for the last year). The flooring thing too. I can’t seem to decide between white glossy cement and wood flooring for my upstairs, but these photos are swaying me…

avant garde, my twin sister wants to redo her kitchen’s dining area in that colour scheme. Very cool. Also cool is cobalt blue concrete floors Diane! I would trade a cat for that pink/white pouf Mary Jo – I’ve been scouring eBay for one for ages but the ones on there aren’t that great looking. And WHITE. GLOSSY. CEMENT.
