Jim Franco’s photography is stunning. He’s a lifestyle photographer based in New York City and has produced imagery for the likes of Domino, Sunset Magazine and Cottage Living. His portfolio includes interiors of course, and also portraits, food, lifestyle and kids (so adorable!). These are my favourite interior photos.

Tracey Butler

“Serene, calm and sophisticated without being fussy” are words used by Tracey Butler of b. home interior design. Warm neutral colour palettes are layered with textures, spiced up with accents of fresh brights particularly in private areas, mixed with furniture antique and new. It’s a warm, inviting, livable look with just enough luxury to draw you in but not intimidate. Enjoy her extensive portfolio!

Thanks!

Coop

Coop is an interior design firm based in Queensland, Australia that has designed some really fun, quirky and modern spaces. They do not follow current trends in their designs which is evident in the unusual creativity of their rooms. The kitchens in their portfolio are so fabulous that I’m taking note, and I love that they often use wallpaper as a way to introduce bold colours and patterns.

Tugging at the heart strings

Sometimes a house just talks to you. Sometimes the connection is so strong you stop and daydream about living there. Sometimes you just draw your breath in sharply and use the “f” word. This house is my house. My house in my dreams. OK so there are things I’d change here and there. I’d have lots more art, it’s screaming out for sculpture, add a bit more mid-century modern and a touch of quirkiness (besides the kilim sofa)- but this house!! Oh this house is the perfect shell for my dreams. Starting it’s life as a dark little cottage it has been expanded and opened up while cocooning in and its beauty lies in the reclaimed timbers and the inside/outside blend. So do you get the idea that I really like it? Real estate stalking here.
