I notice frequently on various blogs how photographers are praised for their beautiful work. I definitely agree that a photographer needs to understand light and composition well, but I imagine the photographer doesn’t style the home or choose the home to shoot. If a photographer took pictures of a house with no style whatsoever but with great light and composition, I imagine the compliments wouldn’t be flowing like usual.
These photographers get taken to stunning homes with stylists rearranging the furniture and adding the right accessories to make it “picture perfect.”
I agree that photographers deserve some credit but I disagree that they deserve all of it.
