My favourite living rooms of ’08 – part 1

Posted on Mon, 29 Dec 2008 by KiM

I will be posting over the next few days my favourite photos of the year, by room type. The living rooms from this year (and by this year I mean that I’ve saved on Flickr since Jan 1 ’08) that have inspired me are below – half of them anyway, as I found too many for just one post.

I was going to say which one of the bunch really turns my crank but there’s something in each one that I adore, like grey paint, photography as art, patchwork sofas, glossy sky blue floors, mid-century/hollywood regency vibes, bare light bulbs, coffee tables made of thick pieces of timber…

I hope you saved room for more blogs. Pull up a comfy chair and click on through to the second part of Desire to Inspire’s Holiday reading guide. I love this time of year especially compiling these lists. You see I’m a secret blog lurker and I bookmark so many I just have to share. Enjoy!

Holiday Reading

In what is now a holiday tradition it’s time to settle into Desire to Inspire’s virtual library and explore the blogosphere via our holiday reading guide. Not all are in english, not all are completely focused on room porn, some I have been lurking on for quite some time and others are very new to me. This is the first instalment so save room for many more wonderful blogs. Happy Holidays!

Kim and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families peace, hope and joy these holidays. The world is getting smaller and smaller and people from all parts of the globe are meeting and mingling on blogs like this. Not all our readers, we know, come from Christian based cultures but the message is still the same. The world is too fragile for anything but love and friendship.

We won’t be posting on Christmas Day but we’ll be back randomly after that. A post here, a post there and lots of holiday reading guides. Take care all and thank you so much for your continued support. It means so much to us.
