OMG …

… what were they thinking? A study in the bathroom? Forget the idea of a parents’ retreat, even a phone by the toilet or a TV above the bath. Is this taking it a bit far? The only person I know how corresponded from the bathroom met a sticky (or should that be soggy) end. I’ll be back with more retro bathing beauties from Making the most of Bedrooms & Bathrooms, by Mary Gilliatt, Orbis Publishing, London, 1983 later in the week.

way too random!

I thought you were going to say the swag-thing on the window. 🙂
And is the framed print on the desk a couple of double cheese burgers? Ha!
Ohhhh, the 80’s.

Carrie says:

This proves again that nothing good came from the eighties design wise…

Yeah-the bathroom is your private space to be naked…and bathe and do your business-just be FREE. When you start combining it with spaces that are normally communal-or not seen as one person occupied spaces…it starts being a little weird.

Samantha says:

that’s a huge bathroom, and having the office in there is pretty weird.

Hahaha I was so overcome with the idea of writing snail mail in the bathroom at a desk and on a chair that probably would die from all the humidity that I completely missed the swag blind! That fabric with the slate tile is such an “eclectic” choice. And then what appears to be a berber bedroom! Still I love the 80s 🙂

HUH? Those were some good drugs back in the 80s I’d say, because the person who came up with this HAD to have been on something.

This is absolutely mogg-worthy! lol

Yes, you see, I like this idea. Think of the hours of work I could get done in there with no one wishing to intrude lest I be dealing with some tricky private matter.

Some of my best thinking happens in my bathtub. But, please, no desk! This is hilarious!
