If you’d like to send us photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so both pet and furniture takes center stage. (Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture…and your pet happens to be sitting on it). And second, the photo must be of decent quality. For example, if it’s REALLY dark or fuzzy (camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks!
Due to the amount of entries we received in the past week, I had to split them up into 2 posts, so stay tuned later for more cuties!
“Siler is not even allowed on the furniture at home, but at my studio/printshop, all bets are off. After all, I did name my letterpress business after her! {photo by Julia Vandenoever}“
– Allison
“I loved the ‘Pets on Furniture’ post today so much I just had to join in! I attached a photo of our new puppy Gertrude and our two cats Hamlet and Norton!“
– Ashley
“Meet Charlie – He is a 3 year old great dane who we fostered for a few months. He never knew his own size and would try to even get on our laps… and he loves his blankets! Drake and Scooter – These two are like two peas in a pod. They not only love playing together but they sleep together too! The fourth picture is just of Scooter.“
– Danielle
“Here is a picture of Jasper, a 2 year old Italian Greyhound (who we adopted just yesterday!) on my favourite $5 chair. The chair was brown with grime when I found it but I love how it’s scrubbed up.“
– Evie
“This is Ringo on our vintage Danish sofabed with her brothers, a couple vintage Teddies.“
– Keith & Judi
“Introducing Bobo, master furniture warmer.“
– Michael
“I just wanted to submit this picture of my cats, Olly and Katie, reclining on our outdoor dinner table. They love using this table for sunbathing, stretching or just keeping an eye on all of us! I’m sorry to say I don’t have another picture with more of the table in it.. My mom (who took this picture) meant to capture the two cats close up and so the focus is more on them (as it probably should be :D)…your Pets on Furniture series never fails to make my day, especially since going away to college has left me with a severe lack of feline loving!“
– Anne
“Sadie is on the left, and Dixie on the right. Our two Husky Mix girls really light up our lives! Here is one of their very favorite positions!!! Perfect view out the window!! These pictures were taken the first weekend we adopted Sadie, 2 days before Christmas! She was about 9 months old, rescued from a nearby shelter. Sadie was a bit shy at first, but as you can see, quickly made herself right at home on our furniture 🙂“
– LaVonne
“Attached is a pic of my terrier mutt, Higgins. He is an expert napper and coordinates well with my mostly black and white decor. Here is is on our ottoman.“
– Courtney
“My sweet Weezie is a year old! Here she is in my office waiting for her mom to finish with patients. I redid my office this year and was inspired by many posts from this blog. Thanks so much for the inspiration.“
– Donna
“Just found your site and love it. Attached is my Cat Keisha who enjoys sitting on the placemats on the table.“
– Karen
“If you are able to see past all the red in this very old photo you can see my beloved whippet Tigger dying to get at Mr. Peacock! Now many years later her new mission in life is to make life miserable for a cat living under my deck even though she has already had a scratched nose!”

Your pictures are super cute! That's a great way to present new design ideas.
Jac says:
I know this is a personal preference thing, so for what it's worth, I really really don't like this new "pets on furniture" feature.
You have a high quality blog here that showcases a lot of professional work. (Really, it's a wonderful design resource).
But to have to weekly scroll past tons and tons of other people's pets makes the blog frustrating to get to the real design content and I'm considering unsubscribing.
Pets, while very cute, are not design-inspiration.
Sorry if others don't agree, but I wanted to voice my thoughts anyway.
