Reader’s home

Reader Juan sent us a link to his home asking if we’d like to feature it. Yes please. A small studio space with kitchen and bath it is minimally furnished but with maximum style. A man of few words (in his emails at least) a google or two and I discover he is a talented graphic designer/illustrator/artist. His art wall collection is fab. The stacks of small art works, the plastic animal collection, the haphazard books, the cool stereo and wine bottles just waiting to have their corks pulled and wine glasses filled. It all speaks of one cool guy.

the couch, the (cardboard?) deer, the masks & the way the artwork is arranged are just so much fun

Thank you for sharing your home with us Juan! It is very inviting and I LOVE the art wall.

Wow! The art wall is great…I’d love to know who some of the artists are or where he likes to find his art.

And I was very happy to see the plastic animal collection, as I have one too, and I get a lot of weird looks for it. 🙂

I love seeing a turntable in people’s houses. Juan’s place makes me want to go back in time to Paris 1991, en route home from the Louvre and that man I spent a week with listening to albums in a similar space….

Lori says:

love it!

I want the orange striped pillow!

Wow, I love that art wall, so so creative. Great place!

oregonbird says:

Definitely, cool guy territory — without the playboy vibe. A spinner of vinyl, double plus good. Reader, check. Artistic, but not an overly-sensitive clue in sight. I love his taste in graphic images! See, now all we need to do is get a look at the cut of his trousers, and he’ll be swamped in adoring women. Or men who like the classic tone. Whichever!

Minnie says:

LOL, oregonbird. So true. I’ve seen many art walls and love the way this one is put together. Kudos also for the whimsical touches throughout.
