James Braund

Hello and welcome to a new week on Desire to Inspire. I’m so excited about today’s photographer James Braund. Melbourne based Braund captures Aussie homes that are just too cool. Whether high end or real life and really stylish. Midcentury madness anyone? There’s colour and light and life. If photography is inspirational and aspiration then James Braund has me wanting it all.

Can anyone tell me who makes the white multi-stemmed vase featured in the 2nd photo (top right shelf of cabinet) and 8th photo (on top of cabinet)? It was also on Fiona Dunin’s buffet in the ‘FMD Architects’ feature on 29 July (7th photo).

love love love the kitchen in the 1st photo. and the collections of midcentury pottery.

Denise says:

1 and 11 (could be 12) work for me as spaces – the rest are horrible, wait that’s too harsh, ummm, not to my taste – and no photographer can make them any better.

Where are those counter stools in picture 3 from? I am seeking something just like that in the USA?

These houses are great except for the last two or three photos that are too untidy for my taste.

Fab! I love the blue tiles in the bath… that is still so hip in my book!

This stuff is awesome (and original!) I love all of the items hung on the wall (I’m a hanger when it comes to organization). I have tons of necklaces hung in my bathroom, both for decoration and organization. Going to hunt for more of his work!

Oh good lord! Just heaven and in my home town of Melbourne Australia too! Swoon……….

I love the wall of botanical prints!

Does anyone know how the necklaces in the dining room are hung? How the hook and the wooden part work/retailers who sell similar things?

kristen says:
