Unfortunately today there will be no Flickr finds post. My husband and I are on a sort of mini-honeymoon in Prince Edward Island, visiting his family and friends (Jeff grew up there). I didn’t have time to get a post ready before we left so I thought I’d just slap up a couple photos from our trip so far (I’m hoping to get my regular posts up throughout the week so you folks won’t even miss me.) We arrived late Friday night after a 14 hour drive, and will be heading home next Saturday. We love it here – it is SO peaceful and relaxing. We’re staying at my inlaws’ cottage on Covehead Bay and it really is a little slice of heaven. We are hoping to make this trip a yearly summer ritual. Below will show you a glimpse of why we love P.E.I. – the first is the cottage, the second is the view from the window of the bedroom, the third was taken at our trip to a beach (Blooming Point) yesterday and the last 2 of bald eagles were taken by Jeff and his mother using his father’s INSANE 600mm lens. They land daily on the top of the trees along the water line. (I have this set on Flickr for photos of this trip which I’m be uploading to as often as I can).

May I please have that lens?
KiM says:
Get in line Louis. That's a $10,000 lens. And I finally got to see why it's that much. RIDUNCULOUS. (More photos on my Flickr set that I linked above.)

PEI. You lucky thing you. Stunning pics! Loved the replacement post as well…. the brown/blue rustic decor. I used to hate the brown/blue combo and I am loving it more and more. BTW, blessings on your "honeymoon" and …. congratulations? Have a wonderful time, which I doubt is impossible on PEI.
Susan (the SIL ?) says:
I can't believe my rhubarb dessert made your blog!!! The recipe is definitely coming your way!

Yes, PEI really is that beautiful! Your pictures have captured it SO well. My husband and I moved to PEI last year and bought a house near Victoria Park in downtown Charlottetown and we love it here! We started out renting a beach front cottage in Fortune Bay before we bought our own home and it was really nice to be able to enjoy the beaches so close to home. This is a great place to spend a vacation!
PS. LOVE the pictures 🙂
