WINKS – weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we’ve found and things we think you’ll want to see. If you’d like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we’ll link you. So what’s in this week?

  • Can’t get enough of Rachel Castle. Loving her new artwork and garlands and does this woman know how to style her website or what!!! Want everything at Castle.

  • Aged, refound, re-used but definitely not Obsolete. Well actually it is Obsolete. It’s is a fantasy, a gallery, a purveyor of aged beauty. Gorgeous.

  • Whether online fine midcentury and vintage design or in the flesh at their Mornington Peninsula Gallery I’m coveting everything at Codename Tom. They don’t call me midcenturyjo for nothing!

  • Modern home and modern pets. Why should your Fido or Fluffy not be as minimalist and contemporary as you? Love great design and your pets? pet-interiors is the place for you… and Fido and Fluffy.

  • The new American industrial, AT-95. Designed and built in Middle America it’s honest and tough, handcrafted and bound in its history. Love the drafting base tables!!

Reader’s home – Dana’s Italian villa

Posted on Fri, 10 Sep 2010 by KiM

This next reader’s home is that of Dana Frigerio. It’s located in Lake Como, Italy and was built around 1914. Her husband is an architect with a passion for books, and Dana is a garden designer with a passion for interior design. Their furnishings combine both Western and Oriental antiques with some contemporary pieces. It’s a stunning home that really showcases Dana’s passion for design, and WOW check out her kitchen!!! (P.S. Their current focus is on their garden which I can only imagine how gorgeous it will turn out. And Dana has a gardening blog so have a looksie). Thanks Dana!

Reader’s home – Sandra’s den

Here’s an email I received the other day from Sandra: “You featured my dining room on your blog before (HERE) & I’ve slowly been working on the rest of my home. I’m sending pics of my den which I’ve been putting together in dribs & drabs w/some really good bargains via consignment shops & ebay. I really enjoyed seeing other readers’ homes & thought to send this in.” And am I ever glad she did. Her den is a cozy mix of many styles but is a wonderful cohesive space with lots of global influences. I love it Sandra!

Paradise on a crescent beach of sherbet white sand. Domed pavilions straddle the ridge. Views filled with dreams of the spice routes. Exotic, exclusive, remote and relaxing. The name of this slice of heaven? Kilindi. Perhaps it’s Swahili for perfect………
