Charlie Bennet

Posted on Thu, 21 Oct 2010 by midcenturyjo

I am such a fickle woman, flitting from one photographer crush to another. I have a new love. Swedish snapper Charlie Bennet has gone straight to the top of my love list. Look at this work! At times moody, at times scandi bright but always great shots of great rooms. I want to move in and claim these homes as my own.

Thread Art and Design

Smart Design Studio

Posted on Wed, 20 Oct 2010 by midcenturyjo

It’s young, it’s hip, it’s hot. It’s Smart Design Studio. Turn a page in the best shelter mags here in Australia and this Sydney architectural design studio has yet another fabulous space featured. It’s contemporary, it’s sleek, it’s stylish and I can’t do it justice here on the blog. You MUST visit the website to drink it all in. Australian design is sizzling at the moment and Smart Design Studio is starting a lot of fires!

Lusting…

…after this dining room.

I adore the Dear Ingo by Ron Gilad for Moooi light fixture (and my fav new store carries it here!), the thick wooden table, the Thonet bentwood armchairs, the Flos Toio floor lamp… but I could do without that rug.
Styled by Victoria Backman.

Jamo associates, again

Posted on Tue, 19 Oct 2010 by KiM

We’ve featured Japanese design firm Jamo associates a couple of times already (here and here) but I happened across their site again and noticed some fab spaces we haven’t already posted. And that’s all I have to say about that as I fight a bad cold – my nose is about to drip on my keyboard.
