Vicariously stalking in my home town

I love stalking. I love it when other people stalk too. I also love showing how people in my part of the world live. Double win today then. Gem from Brisbane sent me a link to this post-war weatherboard and tile home. This type of house is a common sight in my neck of the woods. Built in the 50s and 60s they dot the streets around me and are often the first home choice of many young couples (or were before the housing market went stratospheric here). Today’s home is in a very good suburb surrounded by lovely homes and just a stone’s throw from the university which is real estate speak for big price tag for little home. Very nice little home though. Plenty of cute ideas for those just starting out. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. You must visit Gem’s blog Bella Vizsla if you want to see the most photogenic pooch around!

Is this place like, in the middle of the jungle?! (Joke.) Love all that foliage! I also LOVE the kitchen. Not what I'm usually drawn to but then I pictured myself in it and a huge grin spread across my face.

Such a lovely home. By any chance you would know the wall paint colour in the first bedroom photo? I really love it and the subtle contrast it creates with the window trims 🙂

What a great mix of high and low items! Love seeing ikea used subtly.
