Iris from Inredningkaos emailed to share her apartment redo.
Here are some pictures from the kitchen, living room and dining room. We bought the apartment three years ago and completely redid everything from floor to ceiling. The first few months we lived in the apartment completely without a kitchen! All we had was an electric coolbox in the living room :)p Between the kitchen and dining room we removed a wall and instead we put a kitchen island with a stove to make a better space for cooking and entertaining, which we love to do! My favorite thing in this area is the white brick wall behind the television. My very handy boyfriend built in a pipe behind the bricks and underneath the floor where all the cords from the television and amplifiers go. I painted the art in my living room myself and I also painted the pattern on the rug! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
It’s a wonderful transformation Iris! From a plain box-like apartment to a stylishly casual and cosy home.
Today’s reader request comes from Agata: I am 30 year’s old polish girl leaving in Norway. Together with my husband, we’re thinking of building a house. We don’t have a land and a house yet, but for the moment I am concentrating on floors and sofas. Don’t ask me why – just because :> And here is the best lime green color I have found so far for my best ever sofa :> The above sofa is not the size and shape I desire. I would like to have a huuuuuge lime green (not leather) sofa. And that lead me to idea of asking You girls of writing a nice post about huge/corner not-too-much-sophisticated but practical sofas. I am REALLY hoping to be able to fit a sectional sofa in my new living room (when it’s built) so I was stoked to search these out in my huge stash of photos. Since Agatha mentioned lime, huge and corner I tried to find photos with sofas in that combination (but only found a few in lime). The first photo caught my eye but it turned out to not be a sectional….but I adore the space and colours in particular so I had to include it.

I’m real estate stalking today in the Byron Bay hinterland. I think the township of Federal perched high above the New South Wales coastline is just a hop skip and jump away from heaven. How about this renovated Queenslander-style home? Modern touches opening it up to the great outdoors and a colour scheme that isn’t a patriotic cliché. Pool’s pretty cool too but you’ll find me on the verandah sipping a glass of white wine at the end of the day. Link here while it lasts.
Peggy Dupuis (of Dupuis Design) wrote us about her recently decorated California home and I had to share it wih you all because she lives in quite the pad! The home is pretty spectacular, with breathtaking views, floor-to-ceiling windows, moveable walls to open the living room to the backyard which features a pool. YEAH, the parties that could be had at Peggy’s house. 🙂 Thanks Peggy!
