Reader request – black floors

Posted on Fri, 10 Jun 2011 by KiM

Molly wrote us last month with a request to see photos of black floors. I think black floors are HOT, and one day, when I do not have 7 cats, I shall have black floors somewhere in my home. (Interestingly, most of these are from Scandinavian websites).

Gilles Trillard

It’s been quite a week so far filled with small, irritating events that have left me a little…crusty. So today I would like to simply feature some fantabulous photos, and lose myself in their beauty. The photographer du jour, Gilles Trillard, is based in Paris and has worked for magazines such as Elle-Décoration, Côté-Sud and Campagne Décoration. Most notably he has shot Jonathan Adler’s home (you can easily spot some of the photos below).

Fresh, modern and fun. Beautiful rooms to unwind in, dine in, chat with friends, curl up with a book, entertain and live large in. Relaxed yet casually elegant. From city pads to family homes… wonderful interiors by Jarlath Mellett.
