I really enjoy peeking into the homes of “normal” people. I tend to come across too many perfectly styled and designed spaces in my googling for blog material and I love the quirky and rule-breaking spaces that were created by non-designers….like the Berlin home of artists Alicja Kwade and Gregor Hildebrandt (via Freunde von Freunden).

The multi plug light bulb is hilarious. I love this home. It says "this is my home filled with stuff I like". It's sweet 🙂

I might kill for those crown mouldings. Literally. (lol)

Plus, love the idea with the stacked plug adapters, but is it safe?

LOVE the shoes on the wall in the first image. Kudos to the "normal" couple 🙂

oregonbird says:

I think your idea of normal has suffered under the dreadful years of looking in on professional stylists! Not normal. Not interior decorators, yes. Normal, no!

peggy says:

Normal? I don't think so. This home is fab. I need that coffee table in the first pic! I love the quirky art, the shoes on the wall as art and the multi-plug lamp.

steve mawson says:

OH DEAR, give me the not-normals any day !
