Monday’s pets on furniture – part 2

Posted on Mon, 30 Apr 2012 by KiM

If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet!)

William is the focal point of my apartment decor!

This is Daphne, 9 years old, sitting among paintings, poetry and pictures with her favourite fluffy gosling!
– Erica (Italy)

Great Dane Cleo finding an awkward spot on an arm chair….
There was a dog bed at her feet and an open couch all for her choosing. But this apparently was more appealing! Apparently our dogs liked to be squished!

This is my 3 year old rescue Jack! He loves sitting in this chair b/c it has a great view into a tree out the kitchen window…where the squirrels hang out. When he isn’t lounging on the sofa he loves to go for walks on the bluffs in Santa Monica or play with his friends at the dog park.
– Kate

This is my labrador, Moli and his favorite place in our apartment is this 100% wool rug 🙂
– Guðfinna (Reykjavík, Iceland)

This is a picture of Annie. She is posing on her favorite sofa under a picture I just bought at a consignment store (by J. Pinto, anyone heard of him/her?). I like the picture a lot and you can tell Annie loves it. She is a rescue Calico and lives in our house with her brother Jack. He will pose for you another day.
Rebecca

This is Merlin, my boston terrier, at home in Portland, Oregon.  He was my best friend until his untimely death two years ago.  I miss him every day and wanted to send this image in honor of him. He loved this IKEA chair so much!
Joni

This is only one of our two dogs, 9 cats, 2 rabbits and 1 guinea pig. The pictures I attached are of Bubba, who is a rescued pit bull, and the biggest loveable baby you would ever want to meet. The pillow used to be nice, until they got chewed on – and the couch(es) used to be nice too.  Need I say more.

Pared back stalking

Posted on Mon, 30 Apr 2012 by midcenturyjo

Real estate stalking in the hills above the ocean at Lorne in Victoria. An interior pared back. Simple style. Not too much. Just enough luxury and space. Lots of space. A little bit linen, a little bit french, a little bit casual elegance, a lot Aussie bush. And a view, such a lovely view. Not what I would call me usual taste but add just a little more boho, some art… I’d move right in. Such beautiful surroundings. So much potential.  (Just wish that some of the images weren’t stretched.) Link here.

Alila Villas Soori

Posted on Mon, 30 Apr 2012 by midcenturyjo

Dear readers,

I’m not here. No not really. My body is stranded in my day to day job, on the train, washing up and ironing clothes, blowing my nose and cursing my head cold. My mind though is on holidays in Bali… still. I just moved hotel that’s all. To the sister property of last week’s virtual trip to paradise. This week I have moved my luggage on over to the Alila Villas Soori. Nestled between rice fields and volcanic black sand beaches. Ah the luxury, the relaxation. Maybe my body should hustle on over and join me.

Cheers, Jo
