TGIF!!!

Posted on Fri, 31 Aug 2012 by KiM

Thank gawd it’s Friday, mostly because it’s a warm and sunny 3 day weekend but also because this has not been a very good week (I’m a mess physically, with allergies, back problems that had me home from work yesterday so I could attend my first physio appointment, and now thanks to all this I’ve got a freaking throbbing headache). I thought I’d keep things simple today with photos from Quarto & Sala, the site I like to call the Brazilian Selby. I love peeking into the homes of normal folks…there’s no over-decorating or over-styling here.

Spring is almost here

It’s in the air. A promise. A promise that winter is over and spring is here. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to share the work of interior designer Allison Bloom of Dehn Bloom Design. Liveable and lovely, neutral with flashes of colour through accessories, texture on texture and loads of natural light. Fresh and fabulous just like the coming season.

Can’t get enough

It seems I can’t get enough of the absolutely exquisite photography of Roger Davies. The man is a genius with a camera. I’ve blogged him so many times already but it’s just never enough. This is almost stalker material.

Beam me up

I am in love with this house. The rustic/modern mix is gorgeous. Those beamed ceilings and hardwood floors are phenomenal. Yes, I could easily and happily live here. Forever. (Via Le case di Elixìr)

Maison Estate

I’ve booked a table. The one outside under the tree. Food and wine and good company and a heavenly setting. The vineyard, the restaurant and tasting room in a converted farm cottage. Maison Estate at Franschhoek in the Valley of the Huguenots in South Africa. I don’t think it can get any better.
